Rodger C. Tygart, 65, of Lee�s Summit, MO passed away Monday, October 13, 2003 at St. Lukes Hospital, Kansas City, MO. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 17 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. A visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the First National Bank of Missouri, P.O. Box 1400, Lee�s Summit, MO 64063-Rodger Tygart Memorial Fund for St. Lukes Cancer Center. Rodger was born on May 22, 1938 to George and Ruby Wanda Tygart. He spent 32 years in the heavy construction equipment business for GW VanKeppel where he retired in 1989 and went on to form the Toni Tygart Real Estate Group, and was the driving force that made the team the success it is today. Rodger was a perfectionist with a passion for golf, flowers, cooking, fishing, animals and Toni. Rodger excelled at everything he did, except golf which was his work in progress. A special thanks to his doctors and nurses who cared for him during his long and courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Toni Tygart; one son, Roger Tygart Jr.; one sister, Joann Fisher; two brothers, John H. Tygart and Austin Ray Tygart; a sister-in-law, Kim and husband Matt Wilhelmson; nephew, Jesse Wilhelmson; and numerous other nieces and nephews; his real estate family; and his beloved pets, Kutya, Tiggy and Cali.
