Vicki Umsted

Vicki Irene Umsted, 63 of Independence, MO passed away, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at her residence. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with visitation to follow. Donations may be made in her name to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 4041 South Lynn Court Drive #300 Independence, MO 64055 Vicki was born December 16, 1948 in Kansas City, MO to Leo and Betty J. (Long) Collins and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked as a florist for Silver Floral for a number of years. She was married to Gary D. Umsted on March 18, 1972; He survives her of the home. Other survivors include; a brother, Terry Collins; 2 granddaughters Robyn Umsted and Ashley Umsted; her best friend, Lisa Brice and her beloved Pom, Gigi.
