Helen M. Utter

Helen M. Utter, 93 of Lee�s Summit, formerly of Independence, passed away Sat. Sep 3, 2005 at White Ridge Health Center. A mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Wed, Sep 7, 2005 at St. Mary�s Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:15 - 9:45 am, Wednesday at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. MO with the rosary being said at 9:00 am. Contributions are suggested to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation. Mrs. Utter was born on Dec 3, 1911 to John & Amelia Betz in Hamilton, Ohio. She had been a bookkeeper with the US Department Of Agriculture, retiring in 1977. Previously she had worked for the Singer Sewing Company. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to read and go Square Dancing. Helen was a member of the KC Singles Dance Club and the Bridge Club at the Independence Sermon Center. She was previously a member of St. Mary�s Catholic Church and for the past 10 years had been an active member of Presentation Catholic Church. Helen was preceded in death by a grandson, William Joseph Utter. She is survived by a son Robert Utter of Lee�s Summit, MO. Nine grandchildren, John Utter, Judy Wood, Jeanne Ozburn, Robert Utter, James Utter, Mary Elizabeth Vardy, Michael Utter, Mark Utter and Paul Utter. Nineteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
