Frank “Jr” Valdivieso, 88 of Leavenworth, KS passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at the VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, KS. The family will have private services at the Speaks Suburban Chapel and he will be laid to rest in Leavenworth National Cemetery. Frank was born on October 6, 1931 in Kansas City, MO to Frank Benito Valdivieso. Frank was a father of four sons. He also leaves behind twelve grandsons and many great grand-children. He was born, raised, and worked in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was employed by Santa Fe Railroad Company and shortly after joined the U.S. Army. Sergeant Valdivieso served proudly during the Korean War and earned his foreign war medals accordingly. He joined the U.S. Army Reserves for two years after active duty during the war. He had worked as partner at a pastry shop and for a newspaper company in Baltimore, MD. With a disability, he retired and mainly resided in Leavenworth, Kansas in his remaining years.
