Nicholas Mack "Bubba" Van Fossen

Nick Van Fossen, “Bubba” 13, of Independence, MO passed away January 19, 2018. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services will be 10 am Thursday January 25, 2018 at the chapel. Burial will take place at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Nick was born on October 9, 2004 in Independence. He attended Bingham Middle School and was in the 7th grade. He enjoyed wrestling, football, and playing the Magic Gathering with family and friends. Nick had a sweet tooth and loved ice cream and Snickers bars. In his spare time he loved to watch Youtube videos. Nick had a wonderful smile and great imagination. He was greatly loved and will be forever missed. Survivors include; parents Ronald and Kim Van Fossen; biological mother Mariah Cox; siblings: Olivia Van Fossen, Chloe Van Fossen, Dakota Kiper, Jeremy Kiper, Jessica Nelson, Ron Van Fossen, Ava Johnson, Faith Cannady, Colton Cannady, Dulceana Wells, Kylie Cox, Lexi Cox, and Megan Cox; maternal great grand mother Linda Cannady; maternal grandparents Rockford and Kathleen Cannady; paternal grandpartens Peggy and James Puster and Kathy and Bill Cox. Nick is preceded in death by grandfathers Melvin Van Fossen and Larry Cannady.
