Robin VanArtsdalen, 55, of Kansas City, MO passed away October 21, 2016. A visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO, 64052. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel.
Robin was born on October 22, 1960 in Smithton, MO to Robert and Edith Hunsaker. She was well known for her free spirit and her big heart. She loved coloring, painting rocks, riding bikes, animals, and classic rock. Most of all she loved time with her granddaughters. Robin will be remembered by her loving husband Rocky VanArtsdalen of the home; sons David VanArtsdalen II and Danial VanArtsdalen; daughter Devin Torres and husband Noe; brother Clem Hunsaker and wife; sister Cheryl Mathis; brother Randy Hunsaker and wife; sister Rhonda Smith; brother Robert Hunsaker – wherever he may be; brother Sam Hunsaker and wife; sister Sara Hunsaker and partner; 5 granddaughters Breena, Gabby, Tegan, Lily, and Amity; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
