Daisy Dean "Dee� Neese Vance, 88 of Independence passed away May 18, 2006 at the Hidden Lake Care Center. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm, Mon., May 22, 2006 at the Carson- Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Tue. May 23, 2006 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the Southeast Enterprises Sheltered Workshop, PO Box 9473, KCMO 64133. Mrs. Vance was born on Jan. 31, 1918 to Henry and Flossie (Taylor) Neese in Wellington, MO and has lived in Independence for the last 66 years. Mrs. Vance was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, gardening, playing with her dog and listening to forties music. She had worked at the Commerce Bank on the Plaza and also had supervised employees with developmental disabilities at IBS Industries for 11 years prior to her retirement. She was a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International and had been an active volunteer at the Vaile Mansion for the past 24 years. Mrs. Vance was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, David C. Vance. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, DeeAnn and Ken Stock of Raytown. Three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
