Robert "Bob� Ray Vanderpool, 79 of Independence passed away Thu. Mar 17, 2005. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Mon. Mar 21 at Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 7 - 8:30 pm, Sun, Mar 20 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep, MO. Mr. Vanderpool was born on Aug 21, 1925 to Calvin & Dora Corbin Vanderpool in Gilman, MO. He was a retired farmer and cattleman and did custom Baling in the Kingsville, MO area. He had previously been employed at Kranz Construction, J.R. Stewart construction and Harold Pollack Construction. He had been the Owner and Operator of RR & DM Produce and Grain and an over the road Truck Driver. He was the owner and developer of Bohanna Heights Lake Pomme DeTerre from 1968-1969. He enjoyed fishing, camping and farming and was a life member of the VFW # 5675, the International Union of Hoisting and Portable Engineers, and the Heavy Equipment Operators Local 101. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Bob is survived by his wife Donna M. Vanderpool of Independence, MO. Two brothers and their wives, Gary & Sharon Vanderpool and Kenneth and Marjorie Vanderpool of Independence. One sister, Marie Pittman and husband Forrest of Independence
