David Vangordon

David VanGordon, 38, of Independence, MO passed away February 25, 2018. A Memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. At his request cremation has taken place. He will be inurned along with his father at Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery. David was born on September 29, 1979 in Mountain View, AR to Roger and Marilyn (Smith) VanGordon. David was a proud Army Veteran obtaining the rank of Corporal, serving tour in Iraq. David stayed very active after his service raising his twin sons who where the light of his life. He enjoyed taking them to the park and watching them play, reading to them, or just being with them. Survivors include; mother Marilyn VanGordon, sons Brendan and Gaige VanGordon; brothers Joe Moore and Preston VanGordon; grandmother Norma VanGordon; extended family and many friends. David is preceded in death by his father Roger VanGordon in October 2017.
