Linda Sue Vansandt

Linda Sue Vansandt, 69, of Independence, passed away Wed., June 27, 2018. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 2nd at 10:00am at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence, MO.
Linda was born November 19th, 1948 in Carrollton, MO to Wendell and Fern (Early) Newham. She graduated from Stet High School in Stet, MO and then later with her Bachelor of Science in psychology from Ottawa University. She was an active member of the Independence Chapter of Missouri Right to Life and the Bingham Waggoner Historical Society.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Andrew Caraway. She is survived by her husband, Richard Vansandt of the home; son, Jeremy Grimm and his wife Shera, daughter, Wendy Price and her husband, Brad, step-daughter, Jane Sommers and her husband, Michael, step-daughter, Marcy Vansandt; 20 grandchildren; brother, Bobby Newham and his wife, Carol, of Norborne, MO, sister, Beth Newham of Independence, MO, sister, Sandy McIntyre and her husband, Lonny of Hardin, MO, and brother, Kent Newham and his wife, Debbie of Hardin, MO.
