Sarah D. "Sally" Vaughn (Moore)

Sarah D. Vaughn, Independence, MO passed away Sept. 10, 2016. Services will be 11 am, Wed, Sept. 14 at Christ United Methodist Church, 14506 E. 39th St. S., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will begin at 10 am before the service at church. Private burial will follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Christ United Methodist Church. Sarah was born Aug. 9, 1929 in Bowling Green, MO. She was a very active member of Christ UMC. She enjoyed many activities including sewing, tending her flower gardens, singing and playing piano but most of all she enjoyed her family and grandchildren. Sarah was preceded in death by brother Herschel Moore and sister Avalon Craig. She is survived by her husband of sixty-five years Don Vaughn; daughters Donna McClanahan and husband Dennis; Sheila Gehly; sons Darrell Vaughn and wife Ruth; Larry Vaughn and wife Sarah; daughter Darla Levine and husband Marty; son Greg Vaughn and fiancée Betsy Fromm; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
