Verna Mae (Van Haele) Stull, 97 of Warsaw, MO passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052 with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Verna was born February 7, 1927 in Bromide, OK to Will and Dora Ann (Williamson) Sterling and spent her early life in Oklahoma before relocating to Missouri. She had worked as a certified medical technologist and an LPN in the healthcare at hospitals and doctors offices for a number of years. She enjoyed camping, canning, cooking, crocheting, hunting and fishing. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Warsaw, MO where she served in the WSCS. She was also a member of the women’s auxiliary of the American Legion in Warsaw and a volunteer of the Benton County Cancer Fund where she helped with donations. Survivors include many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Van Haele in 1980, husband Ray Stull in 2022; a son, Jimmie Brewer in 1965, her parents and 6 siblings. Thelma Bennage, Viola Hickman, N.E.
