Frances Adaline Vick, 93, Independence, MO passed away Friday, September 7, 2007 at Crestview Nursing Home in Bethany. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, Sept. 12 at Mt. Washington United Methodist Church, burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, from 5-7:00 pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Washington United Methodist Church.
Frances was born February 16, 1914 in Wolcott, KS to Sam and Flossie Walker. She became a member of Mt. Washington UMC in 1976 where she has been a faithful member and servant since, taking her grandchildren to church and helping them to obtain Faith. Frances was an independent and intelligent woman who enjoyed history and reading.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Art C. Vick in 1991, son Charles Love, daughter Charlene Wimberly, grandson Carl H. Wimberly, and her parents. She is survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
