Vicki Patrice George (Pat) – A Life of Laughter and Love
Vicki Patrice George (Pat), maiden name Brady, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024, in Independence, Missouri, at the age of 73, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's; ultimately succumbing to heart complications. Born on May 31, 1951, in Independence, Missouri, Pat was a powerhouse of kindness, enthusiasm, and joy who left a lasting impact on everyone she met.
Pat earned her PhD in Education from the University of Missouri Columbia and dedicated her entire teaching career to Hickman Mills High School, where she taught college-bound English with passion and flair. She proudly served as the cheerleading sponsor and was once named honorary football coach for the season due to her unwavering support for the students and athletes. Whether she was assisting home-bound students with their studies or helping guide kids back on track through her committed detention monitoring, Pat’s influence reached every corner of the school.
Summers found Pat and her husband, George J. George, in their happy place, Rhode Island, where they spent every season post-retirement aboard their beloved sailboat, The Windsong III. Together, they built a close-knit community of friends, creating unforgettable memories year after year. Pat was known for her legendary hospitality, always the life of every gathering, serving her famous clam chowder and an array of other delicious dishes. George, her steadfast partner of 23 years, was by her side for all these adventures, and together, they turned Rhode Island into a second home, filled with laughter, love, and the joy of countless summers shared with friends and family.
Pat was a devoted and loving mother to her children, Matthew McClain (Partner Jen Watson), Meagan McClain, and stepdaughter Jamie Kloster (Husband Nick Kloster), as well as to her grandson, Zachariah Lee McClain, whom she proudly raised as her own son. She also cherished her role as grandmother to Evie Kloster. Pat’s love and care for her family were unmatched—she never missed a school performance, birthday party, or holiday celebration, making each one feel magical with her personal touch.
Preceded in death by her parents, Morton Homer Brady and Wynonna Cordella Campbell, Pat is survived by her husband George, her children Matthew, Meagan, and stepdaughter Jamie, her grandson Zachariah, her granddaughter Evie, her brother Michael Brady (Spouse Georgia Brady), her sister-in-law Marie Fantasia (Spouse Albert Fantasia) and her loyal companion Bacchus the Dog, all of whom carry her memory in their hearts.
