Darleen Vinson, 89, of Independence, MO passed away December 24, 2017. A visitation will take place from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Friday, December 29, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. A private burial will take place at MO State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Contributions may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church, Kansas City, MO. Darleen was born January 3, 1928 in St. Louis, MO to Albert and Dena (Wehmeier) Rosenkoetter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Danny Edd Vinson; and sister, Adell Sundermeyer. Darleen is survived by her three children, Rochelle Ross (Darwin), Bryan Vinson (Susan) and Kim Vinson (Mike Williams); brother, Randy Rosenkoetter; and nephew, Stan Sundermeyer.
