Henry J. “Hank” Volskay, 84 of Independence, MO, passed away on December 8, 2021. Hank was born February 14, 1937, in Springfield, MO and was the son of Otto A. and Goldie E. (Bird) Volskay. After graduating high school, Hank went to Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, and graduated with a bachelors degree in religion. On June 14, 1959, Hank married Nancy Kelley. He worked in the safety department for Yellow Freight for many dedicated years. He was known as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who loved fishing, gardening, trains, and his church, as he was an elder in the COC. Hank is survived by his daughters, Carma (Bill) Anderson, Debra (Gene) Ganson, and Anita (Tara) Volskay; grandchildren, Alicia (Nicholas) Green, Brandon (Kayla) Ganson, Kristen Anderson, Corey (Emily) Ganson; two great-grandchildren, Hadley and Cooper Ganson; two brothers, Dale, and Truman Volskay; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Volskay; parents, Otto, and Goldie Volskay; sister, Mary Spencer; and brother, Victor Volskay.
