Adam L. Wacht

May 5, 1963 — January 23, 2021

ADAM L. WACHT Adam Douglas Lesberg Wacht, a funny, carefree, loyal husband, father and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was 57. Adam was born in New York City on May 5, 1963 and raised by his loving parents Rennold and Betty Wacht.

Adam grew up in New York City and South Hamptons. He spent many days at the Yale Yacht Club learning the game of backgammon with his dad. He graduated from Riverdale High School and was an incredible lacrosse player. He attended Syracuse University on a scholarship and continued his love for the game. At a young age, Adam showed a passion for entertaining. He often had roles on the children’s television show called The Romper Room and as he got older, he co-starred on one of the first reality shows, The Real World, produced by MTV.

His creative soul led him to become a stellar guitar player and he became a member of the band the Trouble Tribe who signed with Chyralis Records. They were the opening act for many well-known artists in the 90’s. He was a producer, manager and very active in the entertainment world along with his beloved wife Sally.

Adam never knew a stranger. He would light up any room with his goofy sense of humor and never took a day for granted. Adam truly lived life to the fullest. He will be missed greatly by his family and all who know him. He truly was one of a kind.

Adam is survived by his wife Sally; daughters, CeCe and Miller; son, Rennold; brother, Frank Black and numerous best friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Stephanie Black and his loving furry companion, Bruno the boxer.

In lieu of flowers, the Wacht Family invites you to consider a donation to St. Teresa's Academy in memory of Adam's life. Celia is a 2020 graduate of St. Teresa's and Miller will attend next Fall. Honoring Adam will help provide tuition assistance for deserving students with financial obstacles.

St. Teresa's Academy, Adam Wacht Memorial, 5600 Main, Kansas City, Missouri 64113. (816) 501-0022. After completing the donor info section, you'll see "Gift Details," then "Select an Option," (where it currently says Academy Fund) and from the drop down menu option, select Adam Wacht Memorial.
