Neva Wadkins

Neva Gail Wadkins, 58 of Independence, MO passed away, Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue, Independence, MO 64052. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the chapel. Neva was born June 24, 1955 in Independence, MO to Coray and Wanda (Craigg) Struchtemeyer and has been a lifelong area resident. She had worked for 26 years in bookkeeping for W+D Machinery in Overland Park, KS. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by; 2 sons, Jason Wadkins of Kansas City, MO and Jeff Wadkins of Independence, MO; a brother, Neil Struchtemeyer; a sister, Wanda VanLeeuwen of Kansas City, MO and 2 grandchildren, Zadie Wadkins and Braelynn Wadkins.
