Carl “Mark” Wagoner passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, April 14, 2022. He was 72. Mark was born to Carl and Marian Wagoner on October 2, 1949 in San Diego, California.
Mark was a gentle giant with a saints heart. Following high school Mark dedicated several years of his life proudly serving in the United States Air Force. His heart was always helping people and he spent the next 30 years of his life as a firefighter in Utah. At a young age Mark was blessed to meet a beautiful woman named Wendy. Little did he know they’d spend the next 51 years creating a life together. To this union came 3 children, Brandon, Blayn and Brianne. Mark and Wendy enjoyed traveling. They spent lots of time camping, fishing and hunting as a family. They were also able to tour the U.K. while Mark was stationed in England. Mark led an interesting life and children held a very special place in his heart. He drove a school bus for 7 years while living in Hawaii and the grown adult “schoolbus” children still talk about what an amazing man “uncle Mark” was. He made every day memorable for those that he loved. His children have fond memories of their father dressing up as cupid for Valentines Day, the Easter bunny and his personal favorite, playing Santa Claus every Christmas. Halloween was his time to shine as he would create very intricate costumes for his children to wear. He helped make magical memories for not only his own but for children all over the world. Mark enjoyed woodworking and making hand crafted furniture pieces for his own home. He was witty, funny and never took a day forgranted. This world shined a little brighter because Mark was a part of it. He will be missed beyond measure by all his family and friends.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Wendy; children, Brandon Wagoner, Blayn Wagoner (Abbie) and Brianne Wagoner; sisters, Lee Longaker (Bob), Lorna Davis (Rick), Laurie McQuillan (Robert) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Walter Wagoner.
