Rubynell B. Walker

Rubynell Brown Walker, 82 of Independence, MO passed away on Sun. Jan 11, 2004 at Independence Manor Care Center. Services will be 1:00 pm, Thur. Jan 15, 2004 at the Speaks Midtown Chapel, 1101 West Walnut, Indep. MO. Burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm Wednesday at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice or the American Diabetes Association. Mrs. Walker was born on Jul 22, 1921 to Riley and Zenna Brown in Centralia, MO and had lived in Mexico, MO before moving to the Kansas City/Independence area in 1952. She loved to crochet, embroidery, latch hook, and go bowling, and camping. Mrs. Walker had been a member of the White Avenue United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Allen Garth Walker of Independence. A daughter, Janice Kay Walker of Independence. A sister, Maefern Kelley of Broussard, LA. Two nephews and three nieces.
