Corey Lee Walls, 35, passed away on November 22, 2016. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Corey was born on August 30, 1981, in Wenatchee, WA, to Fred Wayne Walls and Raelynn Robin Peterson. After graduating salutatorian from Pleasant Hill High School in the class of 1999, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a military policeman and Staff Sergeant from 2002 – 2008. He traveled the world with the Air Force – he was stationed in Korea, Africa, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, England, and Kuwait. After honorable discharge, he returned home to his family.
Corey was incredibly funny, talented, and kind. He brought a smile to everyone’s face, and never met a stranger. He would give the shirt off his back to help someone. He loved his children and family, and always put them first. He excelled at playing chess – in the 7th grade, he was proud to win the MO State Chess Champion award. He loved any type of music, but classic rock held a special place in his heart.
Corey is preceded in death by his brother, Freddy, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his children, Gwenevere Eve and Corey Phoenix Walls, Jr. and their mother, Renee Roeges; parents, Fred and Robin; siblings, Alice Dotson, Dusty Walls, Samantha Walls, Rachell President, Steven Walls, Jewelle Walls, Josiah President, and Journey President; and many extended family from the home and across the globe in the Air Force.
We love you, Corey; “wish you were here.”
