Shannon Walsh

Shannon Leigh Walsh, 18, passed unto our heavenly father on August 2, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church, 130 NW Murray Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO 64081. Visitation will be Saturday, prior to the mass starting at 10:00 a.m. at the church. She was a graduate of Lee’s Summit High School Class of 2011. Shannon played soccer for the Crushers Soccer Club for 8 years and was team captain of the Lee’s Summit High School Lacrosse team in their first season. She was most comfortable enjoying her friends, staying in physical shape and taking care of others. Shannon is survived by her grandmothers Halina Wiercinski (Bopka), Eleanor Walsh; parents Barbara and Joe Walsh; older brother Zachary Walsh and older sister Meighan. She loved her uncles and aunts, Walter Wiercinski, Mick and Jennifer Walsh, Patrick and Belinda Walsh; her cousins Jonathan and Mary Beth Walsh, Kelly and Tara Walsh, Sean, Devin and Colin Walsh, Andy, Lindsey and Abby Melancon. Shannon leaves behind a circle of beautiful friends whom she loved dearly.
