Marvin L. Wanbaugh

April 24, 1920 — January 4, 2004

Marvin L. Wanbaugh, 83, of Nacogdoches, TX passed away Sunday, January, 4, 2004 at Independence Health Care Center. Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time at the chapel. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. Marvin was born August 24, 1920 in Kansas City, MO to John and Lottie (Smith) Wanbaugh. He enlisted in the Navy and served throughout WWII. Marvin retired in 1980 from Northrop Aviation where he worked as a mechanical design engineer. He then traveled North America in a motor home, spending the winters in Florida. Mr. Wanbaugh enjoyed working on anything mechanical and sharing this talent with everyone he met. Marvin is survived by his son Steven Wanbaugh (Theresa) of Fairfax, VA; brother Earl Wanbaugh (Jenny) of Independence, MO; sister Melba Evans of CO; and nieces, and nephews.
