Ruth M. Washburn (Bradford)

Ruth Washburn, 79, Independence, MO passed away May 1, 2018. Services will be 10 am, Wed., May 9 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1400 W. Sheley Rd, Independence, MO 64052; interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. The family requests contributions to Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Ruth was born June 15, 1938 in Stella, MO. Her family soon moved to Independence where she graduated from William Chrisman High School and was a life-long resident. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and was formerly a member at Calvary Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and led the Women’s Bible Study program. She enjoyed crafts and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
Ruth is survived by her husband of sixty-one years Dan Washburn, of the home; son Steve Washburn and wife Peggy, Gardner, KS; William Washburn and wife Abby, Kansas City, MO; daughter Becky Washburn, Independence, MO; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
