Doc Waters, 79, of Independence, MO passed away on Friday, November 26, 2004 at St. Mary�s Manor. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with burial at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice. Doc was born on July 11, 1925 in Wakenda, MO to Melvin and Lillie Waters. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who would go out of his way for anyone. He always put others before himself. Doc had the patience of a saint, and there was nothing that he couldn�t fix. He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, uncle, brother, cousin and friend. He had a sense of humor like no other, and could make a bad situation into a good one with the simple crack of a joke. He is also the last surviving sibling. Doc served his country in World War II as a Supply Sergeant. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Patricia "Trish� Scarbo "Waters�. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Helen (Browning) Waters; two sons, Randy Waters and Ricky Waters with wife Kristy; five grandsons, Jason, Eric, Ryan, Dustin and Jesse Waters; two granddaughters, Megan Waters and Jasmyn Ulberg; and many nieces and nephews.
