Thomas Harry Waters

Thomas H. "Tom� Waters, 86 of Lee�s Summit, MO passed away Sun May 2, 2004 at John Knox Care Center. Services will be 10 am, Wed, May 5, 2004 at the George C. Carson Funeral Home with the visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer�s Association. Mr. Waters was born on Sep 10, 1917 to Harry and Edalite Waters in Alta Vista, IA and had lived in Belleville, IL prior to moving to this area. He had been a Dispatcher with Allen Freight Line, retiring in 1984. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the VFW. He had previously been a member of the Eastside Christian Church and recently was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lee�s Summit. He was a great lover of Bowling and had bowled with the John Knox Bowling Team. Tom was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey in 1978 and then by his second wife, Lillian in 2002. He is survived by a son, Thomas H. "Tom� Waters II and wife Jeri of Covington, TN. Three daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Donald Beckman of Swansea, IL. Nancy and Roger Tomlinson of Nashville, TN and Fran and Eric Hershey of Lee�s Summit, MO. A stepson and his wife, Bill and Bonnie Johnson of Kansas City, MO. One sister, Edythe Nauman of Mason City, Iowa. Five grandchildren, Eric Beckman, Angie Beckman, Mark Tomlinson, T.J. Waters and Titus Waters. Two step-grandchildren Danny and David Johnson. Two great grandchildren, Thomas Micah Waters and Ariella Waters and three step-great grandchildren.
