Juanita Mae Watkins, 84, Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Carmel Hills Care Center.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 am Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Woodlawn Cemetery; 701 S. Noland Rd, Independence, MO.
Juanita was born October 16, 1926 in Jackson County, MO the daughter of Ralph and Ollie Celia (Shikles) Oswald. She was a graduate of North Kansas City High School. Juanita had worked for Woolworth Department Store. She met her future husband Delmar while riding the bus to and from work. Juanita enjoyed gardening, word searches and jigsaw puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband Delmar in1983; brothers Bill and Norman Oswald and her parents.
Survivors include her sons, Rodney Watkins, Jay Watkins and his wife Charlene; daughter, Dawn Holmes and her husband Lee all of Independence; granddaughter, Melissa and great granddaughter Sabrina.
