Eugina Louise “Gina” Watson, 50, passed away on January 11, 2016, in Pineville, MO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at 10:00am, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Monday, with Rosary said at 5:30pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Gina was born on June 26, 1965, in Independence, MO, to Eugene Alva and Helen L. (Slanko) Bass. She was a cheerleader at St. Mary’s High School and graduated in the class of 1983. She went on to attend college at MO State University in Springfield as well as Carroll College in Helena, MT. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and went to work for numerous agencies, including Downstream, Jackson-Hewitt, YPG, and Schreiber. She was also a licensed Realtor. She loved traveling, and visited nearly every state, as well as Japan, Korea, Canada, Mexico, and Jamaica. She’d never miss an opportunity to visit a beach or forest, and cherished spending every moment with her family.
Her survivors include her husband, Allen; children, Max Carlson, Tiffany Carlson, Cody Carlson, Jennifer Apel, Ashley Watson, Dustin Watson, Nicole Watson, Abby Watson, and Jaycee Watson; grandchildren, Tiffany Carlson and Arya Bass; mother, Helen Bass; siblings, Don Bass, Chuck Bass, and Pamela Hickson; and a host of extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Bass, and brother, Ronnie Bass.
