Mary Watson

Mary L. Watson, 81, Independence, MO, died Nov. 11, 2007 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, Nov. 15 at the Remnant Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Center Branch in Independence; cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Church.
Mary was born Aug. 22, 1926 in Independence and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from William Chrisman High School. She was a member of the church and was very active in the Lunch Partners program. She was a member of VFW Post #1000 Ladies Auxiliary. Mary worked at the E.R.C. Insurance Company for many years and retired in 1998.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents William & Elizabeth Harrison, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her husband Roy W. Watson, of the home; daughter Sharon Cummings and husband Dan, Colfax, IA; sons Alan Watson and wife Sheri; Russell Watson and wife Pam; sister Gladys Bell, all of Independence, MO; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
