Anna Watters, 90, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2016. Visitation will be from 1-2pm Friday, October 7, 2016at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2pm Friday at the chapel. Burial will take place in Forrest Hill Cemetery. Anna was born on October 19, 1926 in Oklahoma City, OK to James and Annie (Smith) Cantrell. Anna moved to the Kansas City are in the mid 50’s with her husband. It was here that they made their home and raised their family. Anna was a member of the Shriner’s Ladies Auxiliary and loved to bowl. Along with her husband, they traveled all over the country participating in bowling tournaments.
She was a devoted wife and mother how enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Survivors include; daughter Sharon C. Magill-Jackson and husband Chris; sons Paul David Watters and wife Denise and James Arnold Watters and wife Michele; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; a large extended family and many friends. Anna is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Arnold “Red” Watters, her parents and 6 siblings.
