A. Marie Weaver

A. Marie Weaver, 91, of Independence, MO, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2019. Cremation is planned with a visitation to be held from 6:30-8:30pm on Monday, August 12th at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Marie was the only child born to William and Winifred (Cramer) Dearing on November 5, 1927 in Independence, MO. Marie attended, and graduated from, high school in Kansas City, MO. She worked in computer operations in civil service. Marie married and had five children. She was a great, involved mother; always shuffling the kids around, encouraging them in whatever they did. She was very protective and would stand up to any authority when it came to the kids. Marie was a good cook and made the best spaghetti, potato salad and fried chicken. She loved the color red, square and ballroom dancing, playing poker at the Eagle’s Club and hanging clothes on the line. She enjoyed watching movies with her daughter, Teresa. Marie also loved her dog, Karter, red dresses and her red convertible. Marie is survived by her five children, William “Bill” (Vicki) Weaver, Teresa Geguzis, Alan (Anita) Weaver, Robert (Gloria) Weaver, and John (Roxann Eicholz) Weaver. Marie is preceded in death by both parents.
