Robert L. "Bob� Weaver, 63 of Sugar Creek, MO passed away after a courageous battle with Cancer on Mon Aug 1, 2005 at the Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 7:30 pm Fri, Aug 5, 2005 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 2415 R. D. Mize, Indep. MO, with the visitation being held from 6 - 7:30 pm preceding the service. Contributions are suggested to the St. Matthew United Methodist Church APIF Fund. Bob was born on Apr. 27, 1942 to Lester and Helen Weaver in Marion Center, PA. He had been a Transport Driver with Kaw Transport for 28 years and most recently had driven for American Central Transport, retiring in 2003. He was a veteran of the US Army and had served in Korea. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family especially camping and going on nature walks with his beloved wife Shirley. He was an active member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church having served on the Administrative Board, as a Sunday school teacher, Chairman of the Finance Committee and was a very faithful and dedicated Lay Representative to the Annual Conference for several years. Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley Weaver of Sugar Creek. Three daughters, Susan Weaver of Savannah, GA, Barbara Clark and husband, Geoff of Kansas City, MO, Nancy McQuillan and husband Joe of Independence, MO. Two sons, Micheal Smith and wife Monica of Independence and Steven Smith and companion Diane of Independence. His mother Helen Poole of Pennsylvania, Nine grandchildren, Brandie, Tito, April, Sarah, Becky, Luis Robert, Alex, Ashley and Brianna. Five great grandchildren, Kai, Shyann, Dakota, Destin and Montoya and by fourteen brothers and sisters.
