John Stephen Wells, 54, Sugar Creek, MO. died July 14, 2005 at his home. Memorial Mass will be said at 11 am, Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at St. Francis Xavier, 1001 E. 52nd Street, K.C., MO. Cremation. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Monday, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence. John was born Nov. 30, 1950 in Independence. He was the owner of Ernie�s Steakhouse & Lounge for 31 years. John looked at life as an adventure. He loved his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Ruth Wells, and daughter, Rachel Wells, both of the home; son John Wells, Jr., Sugar Creek, MO; daughter and son-in-law Jenny & Matt McArthur; daughter Jessica Garrett, all of Independence, MO; his mother Agnes Wells; brother Mark Wells, both of Sugar Creek, MO; sister MaryAnn Hall, Independence, MO; sister Diane Kerr, Prairie Village, KS; and grandson Danny McArthur, Independence, MO.
