Inez Marie Welter (Schoppenhorst)

Inez Marie Welter, 89, of Sibley, MO passed away July 20, 2020. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Saturday, July 25, 2020. The burial will follow at Ebenezer Church Cemetery. Inez was born October 13, 1930 in Wellington, MO to Louis and Anna (Behringer) Schoppenhorst. She graduated from Wellington HS in 1948. She married Robert on May 3, 1953 and was a farmers' wife and mom as well as some part time jobs at the school and later at a local daylilly farm. Inez taught Sunday School and served as a 4-H community and project leader for many years. Inez enjoyed gardening and watching birds and loved dogs and cats. Inez was also very involved in her grandchildrens activities and spent many hot summer days at the ball fields. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years; and one son, Duane Robert Welter. She is survived by son, Stuart Welter (Mary) of Eureka, MO; daughters, Diane Miller (David) of Fulton, MO and Amy Siefker (Wayne) Sibley, MO; grandsons, Jon Welter (Lara), Sun Prairie, WI, Simon Welter (Kiki), Emlichheim, Germany, Michael Miller, Columbia, MO, Austin Miller, Fulton, MO, Alexander Siefker (Kimberlie), Wellington, MO and Benjamin Siefker, Sibley, MO; two granddaughters, Katie DeVilbiss (Brett), Middletown, OH and Olivia Siefker, Sibley, MO; and ten great grandchildren.
