Ruth Ann Wendleton, 77, of Independence, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 29th, 2019. A visitation will be held Saturday, January 18th from 2-3:00pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence.
Ruth Ann was born June 29th, 1942 in Independence, MO to Vance and Frances Hammond. Ruth Ann is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Lester “Les” Wendleton, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Lee Wendleton, adopted son, Vance Watkins, and his wife Sarah; and granddaughters, Katlyn Smith and Samantha Smith.
