Lester L. Wendleton, Sr.

Lester L. Wendleton, Sr. 88, of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, February 12, 2004 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services, with Masonic Rites, will be 2 pm Monday, February 16th at Speaks Suburban Chapel; with interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1 pm until service time. Lester was born April 27, 1915 in Passaic, MO. He served in the US Army during WW II. Lester was a member of the Independence Masonic Lodge #76 for over 60 years, a member of the Ararat Shrine, and the Scottish Rite. Lester is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mildred Wendleton; son, Lester L. Wendleton, Jr and wife Ruth Ann; daughter, Shirley Dillon and husband Jim, all of Independence, MO; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister Thelma Sharp of Independence, MO.
