Ruth M. Wendt

Ruth M. Wendt, 84, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, August 14, 2004 at Monterey Park Nursing Center. Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, August 19, 2004 at St. Paul�s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Wednesday at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial in Mt. Moriah Terrace Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul�s Lutheran Organ Fund or Crossroads Hospice. Ruth was born November 14, 1919 in Alma, MO to Edmund A. and Caroline L. (Karsten) Wendt. Ms. Wendt was a graduate of Alma High School and the Chillicothe Business College. Ruth was a member of St. Paul�s Lutheran Church in Independence. She was employed by Walker Towel & Uniform as an accountant for over 40 years before retiring in 1995. Ruth is survived by her sister Florence Taylor; sisters-in-law Louise Wendt and Zollie Wendt; surrogate family Diane and Jerry MacPherson; Scott and Paula Taylor; great-nieces and nephews Ryan MacPherson, Kelly and Becci Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ms. Wendt was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Walter, Bernard and Reinhard Wendt; sister Nola Wendt Bargar.
