Wesley E. Peterson

Wesley Edwin Peterson, 90 of Kansas City, MO passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Tiffany Springs Senior Living.  Cremation is planned and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence, MO.  The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the chapel.  Wesley was born August 11, 1933 in Cadillac, MI to Roy E. and Margaret L. (Slusser) Peterson.  He moved to Independence at the age of ten and graduated from William Chrisman High School.  He then proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He spent his entire working career as a programmer/analyst for Hallmark Cards from 1951-93.  He was joined in marriage to Carol E. Barron on December 20, 1958. He enjoyed reading, photography, fishing, and listening to music.  He was a member of the Blue Springs Christian Church.  Wesley was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Carol. He is survived by a daughter, Lori Wade and her husband Bill of Platte City, MO.  Donations in his name may be made to Chain of Hope KC, PO Box 16926, Kansas City, MO 64133.
