Ralph E. West

Ralph E. West, 93, of Holden, MO passed away October 25, 2020. A visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, at Woodlawn Cemetery. Ralph was born January 2, 1927 in Marceline, MO to Roy and Irene West. He later moved to Independence, MO, where he graduated from William Chrisman High School. After school, he joined the U.S. Army, where he was a member of the 101st Airborne, serving in WWII and Korea. Ralph retired from Allis Chalmers after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Betty; and one brother, Bob. He is survived by brothers, Mike West of Illinois and Buddy West of Centerview, MO; and his loving fiancé, Jean Fann of Lee’s Summit, MO.
