David Lee White, 51, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away as a result of an automobile accident on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Private services will be held at a later date. He was born to Kenneth Rae White and Mary Grace (White) Slama on January 29, 1966, in Independence, Missouri, and lived in the Kansas City area for most of his life. He was a member of the Algonquin Wabanaki Native American Nation and loved being outdoors with nature. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace, and stepdad, John Slama; and a sister, Debbie Meeker (Walter). Survivors include his father, Ken, and stepmother, Donna White, of Stockton, MO; siblings Laura Jach (Roman), Lee’s Summit, MO; Teresa Longanecker (Gary), New Athens, IL; Bradley White (Jeanette), Hollywood, FL; Claudia Chandler (Henry), Acworth, GA; Angela Chambers, Bolivar, MO; and Kevin White (Jessica), United Kingdom; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. David enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping, riding his bicycle, and caring for his fish in his (50-gallon) aquarium. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends, and helping everyone. He will be greatly missed.
