Ed was born in Skidmore, MO on Sept. 14, 1939. He grew up in Atchison, KS and graduated from Atchison High School in 1957.
He married Sharon Ingels in 1957 and they had two children; Cynthia White Schenewerk and Richard White. Sharon preceded him in death in 1967.
Ed married Vicki Gupton in Dec. 1974 and they shared a daughter, Michelle White Kaminski. He proudly loved his five grandchildren, Staff Sergeant Joshua Schenewerk (USAF) and his wife Kalaya, Rapid City, SD; Megan Schenewerk, Washington, DC; Kaitlynn and Chloe Kaminski, Blue Springs, MO; and Spencer White, Grain Valley, MO.
Ed worked as an electrician in the Maintenance Dept. of TWA/American Airlines for 38 years. His passion, besides his family, was Street Rodding and visiting with his many friends. He was the Missouri National Street Rod Association representative for thirty years. He also had served as President and Vice President of Rod-Tiques Car Club. He loved building street rods. Ed was always able to find a bargain. After retiring, he loved going to garage sales and swap meets.
A mark of a kind man is what his friends say about him. Ed had never met a stranger. He encouraged people, he teased his friends, and he was always there to help people who had a need. He worked on their cars, helped people find car parts, and he could help you find a great place to eat in any city in the United States and Cancun, too!
He is survived by his wife, Vicki and his children: Cindy and Steve Schenewerk, Rick and Diana White, Michelle and Ed Kaminski and their children; brother Kirby and his wife Dr. Karen Williams; his in-laws, Robert and Blanche Gupton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Frances White and his brother Jack White.
