Lee Oma White

December 7, 1915 — June 27, 2004

Lee Oma White, 88, Independence, MO. died June 27, 2004 at Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 10 am, Thursday, July 1, 2004 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. White was born Dec. 7, 1915 in Paducah, KY. Following her graduation form Kansas City Teachers College in 1938, she began a career in teaching which spanned over forty years, mostly with the K.C., MO. School District. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Christian Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and youth group sponsor. She was a world traveler who enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, the Chiefs and the Royals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. White in 1985, and is survived by her daughter, Lynda Cauveren, Blue Springs, MO; grandson, Jason Cauveren, Gladstone, MO; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Reppert, Indep. MO.
