Keith V. Wicker, 90, Independence, MO passed away, Nov. 4, 2012. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Wed., Nov. 7 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, 64055. Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be at 10 am, Thursday at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Keith was born May 18, 1922 in Holton, KS and graduated from Holton High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Pacific Theater in WW II. He worked at the Ford Claycomo plant for thirty-one years and retired in 1979. He was a member of the Honor Guard at American Legion Post #21, a Past Commander of the FoMoCo American Legion Post, and a Lifetime member of the Sheffield Masonic Lodge. He loved boating and water skiing with his family, car racing and traveling. He and his wife, Dody, traveled all over the world.
Keith is survived by his wife of sixty-four years Doris “Dody” Wicker, of the home; sons Garrie Wicker; Randy Wicker and wife Marianne; Ken Wicker and wife Sharon, all of Independence, MO; sister Betty June Nicholson and husband Don, Godfrey, IL; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
