Marianne Wicker (Payne)

Marianne Wicker, 61, Independence, MO passed away Sept. 10, 2017. A cremation memorial visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm, Sat., Sept. 23 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to the Great Plains SPCA, 21001 MO-78, Independence, MO 64057.
Marianne was born May 15, 1956 in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Truman High School in the Class of ’74. She earned her Masters Degree in Nursing from Park University. She worked in many different aspects of the health care industry including the Psychology Clinic at Research Medical Center. She enjoyed needlepoint, fishing, learning about the British Royal family - especially Princess Diana and was a voracious reader.
Marianne is survived by her husband of nearly forty-one years Randy Wicker, of the home; sister Edie Payne and husband Bill Hazen, Gladstone, MO; brother John Payne and wife Gina, Wheatland, MO; niece Anna Hazen, Kansas City, MO and nephews John and Jacob Payne.
