James C. “Jim” Wilcox, 62 of Independence, MO went to be with the Lord and his parents, on Sunday, December 2, 2012. The family will greet friends from 2 to 5:00 p.m., Thursday at the Speaks Buckner Chapel 300 Adams St., Buckner, MO 64016 with cremation to follow. Jim was born May 26, 1950 in Independence, MO and has been a lifelong area resident. He had worked for 43 years at the Sibley Generating Plant currently as plant operator. He enjoyed Sci-fi movies, riding motorcycles and was an avid Raiders fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marg Wilcox. He is survived by; his wife of 40 years, Claudia Wilcox; a son, Timothy and his wife Rhonda; a daughter, Alison and her husband Brad; his grandchildren, Ethan, Colby, Ben and Emily; a brother, Larry Wilcox and his family; brothers in law, Glenn Brainard, Jr and Chris Brainard. The family wishes to thank his co-workers from the Sibley Generating Plant and Crossroads Hospice for everything they did to make him comfortable.
