Ray Bryant Wilcox, 74, of Kansas City, MO, passed away, Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at Regency Care Center. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2003 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Crossroads Hospice. Ray was born August 11, 1929 in Cromwell, KY to Fellowitt and Ova (Clements) Wilcox. He was veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a truck driver for over 35 years retiring in 1982. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1000 of Independence, MO. He was married to Velma K. Berry, she survives of the home. Other survivors include; 2 sons, Steve Wilcox of Oak Grove, MO and Bill Wilcox of Independence, MO; 3 brothers, James Wilcox of Lexington, MO, Paxton Wilcox of Bowling Green, KY and Paul Wilcox of Owensboro, KY; 3 sisters, June Duncan of Utica, KY, Barbara Wood of Bowling Green, KY and Carolyn Davenport of Owensboro, KY; 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and the family pet Beavis. He was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, DeSean "Dede� Wilcox.
