David Wilcox, Sr.

David Wilcox, Sr., 65, of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, June 16, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from Leukemia. A memorial visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m., with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. David retired as an electronics technician in Kansas City in 2002. He was an avid outdoorsman all of his life. Favorite hobbies included hunting and fishing. He was an expert marksman and gun collector, spending many of the years with all his children doing what he loved most. Our love and memories will forever remain. David was preceded in death by one son, Gary A. Wilcox of Independence, MO. He is survived by one son, David J. Wilcox, Jr., of Independence, MO; three daughters, Natalie A. Johnson, Kimberly N. Wilcox and Stephanie M. Wilcox, all of Independence, MO; mother, Rosemary Hagen of Independence, MO; three brothers, William Wilcox of Independence, MO, Robert Wilcox of Kearney, MO and Steve Wilcox of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Teresa Wilcox of Independence, MO; and six grandchildren, all of Kansas City, MO.
