Alice L. Wiley, 81, Independence, MO passed away Sept. 6, 2018. Memorial services will be 2:30 pm, Sat., Sept. 22 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; cremation. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm before the service at the chapel.
Alice was born Dec. 28, 1936 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from William Chrisman High School in the Class of 1954. She attended Graceland College for two years before earning her B.S from Central Missouri State University. She enjoyed sewing and was quite a good seamstress. She also enjoyed decorating, reading and music. She played piano and sang in choir. She was a strong believer in the Lord Jesus. Most of all she loved her home and family.
Alice was preceded in death by sister Sharon Kelley. She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years Jack Wiley, of the home; son Greg Wiley and wife Natalie; daughter Jan Healy and husband Brian, all of Overland Park, KS; grandchildren Paige Wiley, Piper Wiley, Lauren Stover and husband Todd, Caitlin James and husband Nick, Luke Healy and wife Heather; five great-grandchildren; sisters Lucille Coberly and husband Ted Wendler, Jacksonville, FL; Judy Schroeder and husband Tom; brother Doug McCormick and wife Sandy, all of Independence, MO.
