Cecil Eugene (Gene) Wiley
Cecil Eugene "Gene� Wiley, 78, of Independence, Mo. died September 1, 2006 at his home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 10th from 2-4 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Services will be held on Monday at 10:00 am at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Graveside Services will be held at 12:30 pm at the Englewood Cemetery in Clinton, Missouri. Mr. Wiley was born in Calhoun, Mo. on October 19, 1927 the son of Charles Cecil and Lida Frances (Askins) Wiley. He lived most of his life in the Independence area and was associated with Creative Remodeling in Merriam, Ks. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary Julia Van Hoecke Wiley, his two sons William Lewis and Robert Eugene Wiley, and his sister Mary Wiley Gist. He is survived by his brother Henry Lewis Wiley, Kansas City; a sister Joan Wiley Kirchhofer, Clinton; three brothers-in-law Albert and Joe Van Hoecke, Kansas City and George Kirchhofer, Clinton and two sisters-in-law Elsie Van Hoecke Litle and Janice Wiley, Kansas city, a favorite aunt, Doris Kelly, and numerous nieces and nephews.
