Leda Hannah Benbrook Titus Wilkinson, 91, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Services will be at 1:30 pm, Monday, June 4, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence; burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Sunday at the Chapel. Mrs. Wilkinson was born June 29, 1915, in Eagle Bend, Minnesota, to Lucas and Landa Johnson. Born the last of ten children, Leda and her twin sister Lily, were inseparable thru life. She worked as a regional sales manager for many years with the Stanley Home Products company and later served as the Guide Coordinator at the Community of Christ Auditorium. She was a member of the Eden Heights congregation. Mrs. Wilkinson was preceded in death by her husband, Louis, in 1991. She is survived by her three children, Judith Leigh, Independence, Carol Eskridge, Valley Falls, KS, and Landa Fostich, Mt. Pleasant, MI; a brother, Louie Johnson, Independence; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; her nieces Paulette Resch, Dody Boswell, and Patty Bruch; and many other loving relatives and friends.
